Amendments TO RULES
1.Games consist of two (24) minute halves running time. 5 min warm up, 1 min intermission.
2. If score is within two goals in last 2 minutes of play, stop time is used.
3. Teams will begin the game defending the net furthest from their players’ bench and will switch nets at the half.
4. No time outs allowed.
5. Rosters can be 13 players + 1 goalie. 6. Player substitutions made only on the fly, except after a goal or a penalty.
7. Coincidental minor penalties result in teams playing shorthanded.
8. If a player receives a Major, Match or Gross Misconduct resulting in a Game Misconduct in the last 10 minutes of playing time, they will automatically be suspended for the next game.
9. Goalies must have a towel on their net if they have a water bottle.
10. Affiliate Youth players may be used if they are from an age group below.
11. Adult teams may affiliate from lower tiered Adult Teams, only if they have less than 8 players from regular roster on the Game Sheet, including the goalie. Players must be registered with the CRHL.
12. Alcohol may not be consumed at City Arenas: Cardel, George Blundun and Shouldice.
Rule Clarifications
- Full Face Masks / Half Visors / Mouth Guards: All players playing in any youth division (17U and younger) must wear full face masks for all play (house & tournaments).
- Female Players Eligibility: For tournament play any female player is eligible to play down one birth year. For example, a female player who is 11 years old in 2003 can play in the 10U division for any CIHA event.
- Goalies: A goalie must wear a CSA approved goalie masks.
