U14 Playoff Rules

U14 Major Playoffs

All teams will be guaranteed 3 games. 

The teams will play a round robin. With the teams that finish first and second advancing directly into the championship game.

U14 Major playoffs start on Thursday June 14th.

If two teams are tied:

The first tie breaker will be the game played against each other.

If three teams are tied:

The first tie breaker will be the games played against each other.

To determine what two teams advance to the finals.

It they are still tied the goal differential will be used to determine which two teams advance to the finals.

The two remaining teams if still tied by goal differential the first tie breaker will be the game played against each. If they haven't

played against each other in the round robin the third tie breaker will be goals with the team that had scored the most goals advancing.

If still tied goals against with the team that has allowed the fewest goals advancing. Last if they are still tied it will come down to which team

scored the first goal in their first playoff game.

All games in the playoffs will have a winner.

If the game is tied after regulation time the game will go to a 5 minute sudden victory overtime. If the game is still tied there will then be

a 3 player shootout same rules as the regular season.

Any player that receives a penalty with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game and the game goes into overtime the player will

serve the remainder of their penalty in overtime. If the player receives a penalty in overtime with less than 2 minutes remaining

that player is still eligible to shoot in the shootout.

 

U14 Minor Playoffs

All teams will be guaranteed 3 games. 

The teams will play a round robin. With the first place team advancing directly into the championship game.

The 2nd and 3rd place teams will meet in the Semi-finals with the winner advancing to the finals.

U14 Minor playoffs start on Tuesday June 19th.

If two teams are tied:

The first tie breaker will be the game played against each other.

If three teams are tied:

The first tie breaker will be the games played against each other.

To determine what two teams advance to the finals.

It they are still tied the goal differential will be used to determine which two teams advance to the finals.
